Mission

Founded through a partnership between one of the world’s leading schools, King’s College School, Wimbledon, and education group Dipont Education, we integrate the best of international and Chinese education to inspire lives of scholarship, character and service.

A Culture of Scholarship

Our world-class teachers, rigorous curriculum and pupil-centred teaching methods engage, inspire and extend our pupils so that they do not only achieve highly, but also love learning and are excited to come to school. Like our founding partner in England, we aim to combine superior examination results with extensive opportunities beyond the classroom to provide each pupil with a pathway to the best universities in the world.

A Culture of Character

A truly world-class education cannot be restricted to the classroom. To lead a good life, our pupils must first embrace what we call The King’s Way: five leadership skills that are vital to thriving in the modern world but that cannot simply be taught in class.

As a result, creativity, care for others, collaboration, communication and confidence are all developed through the most extensive co-curricular programme in the city, in which a whole range of sports, music, drama and activities beyond the classroom provides an education that is as individual as each child.

A Culture of Service

Dipont KCS Chengdu is built on the model of a family and, like a family, we support and take care of one another, developing each other’s moral outlook, sense of responsibility, self-reliance, and awareness of ourselves in relation to other people and the community.

Our House system forms the bedrock of a unique approach to pastoral care that makes every pupil feel they are as important to the school as it is to them. We place great emphasis on good manners, kind words and virtuous actions: inspiring a desire to look beyond oneself.
