Mingxian Wang

Mingxian Wang is a nationally celebrated educational figure who has been honoured by the Sichuan Province for his contribution to schooling.

Mr Wang began his career at Chengdu Shishi Middle School, an acclaimed school in China that was founded over 2,000 years ago. He enjoyed rapid promotion to Vice Principal of the school, overseeing the quality of its teaching and moral education provision.

It was as Principal of two of the finest schools in Chengdu that Mr Wang developed an outstanding reputation for his school leadership and educational expertise. As a result, he was acknowledged as a Model Worker by the Sichuan Province and as a Principal of Distinction by the municipal government of Chengdu.

Mr Wang currently serves as an educational inspector on both a regional and national level. As Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Educational Society, he continues to play an integral role in the delivery of high-quality education in China.

In England, Mr Seaton was Headmaster at one of the leading independent schools in Yorkshire, Huddersfield Grammar School, achieving its first Sunday Times rankings for academic excellence, national media attention for curricular innovation and a ‘best school’ award at the prestigious Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Awards.

Mr Seaton’s success at this school resulted in his appointment to the European board of the global education group, Cognita, where he oversaw the educational development of 12 elite schools as Director of Education (UK).

Earlier in his career, Mr Seaton was Vice Principal at Brighton College Al Ain, leading its Senior School from its establishment to its standing as one of most academically successful British curriculum schools in the Middle East. He also served as Vice Principal for Regents International School in Thailand, a leading day and boarding school on its Eastern Seaboard.

Bruce Thompson

Co-founding Head

A native of Somerset, England, Bruce Thompson is a highly-regarded Headmaster who has over 30 years’ experience in education. As a teacher, sports coach, head of department, pastoral leader, deputy head, and head of schools in Scotland and China, Mr. Thompson has driven change and improved students’ learning in multiple capacities within his educational career.

Mr. Thompson attended New College, Oxford. He started his career at Cheltenham College, a top English public school and then moved as deputy rector to Dollar Academy, a leading independent co-educational and boarding school in Scotland. In 2000, he became Headmaster of Strathallan School in Scotland and led the school through a thirty percent increase in student numbers, improved academic results in all areas and unprecedented sporting, musical and dramatic success. In 2017 he came to China as founding head and Executive Principal of RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou and led the School in its highly successful formative years.

Undertaking other roles of responsibility, Mr. Thompson has been a Governor of two Scottish Prep Schools, a member of the Governing Body of the Scottish Council for Independent Schools, member of the Boarding Schools Association Advisory Committee and a member of the Scottish Rugby Council.

Jane Zheng

Jane Zheng is a highly experienced Chinese school leader who has developed an outstanding reputation in the Sichuan Province for her fusion of eastern and western pedagogy. 

As Deputy General Manager for Dipont Education, Ms. Zheng led the integration of a range of international curricular programmes into its International Curriculum Centres, including A-levels, the IB and the Sino-Canadian Dual Diploma Programme.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Zheng served as Vice Principal of Chengdu Foreign Languages School, overseeing the quality of teaching and learning provision, and leading its highly regarded International Curriculum Department.
