Dear Chengdu Dipont KCS School Community,
We are pleased to announce an important leadership transition at Chengdu Dipont KCS School. Since 2023, Ms. Xu Li has served as Executive Principal, appointed by Dipont Education Group, working alongside the school’s leadership team to implement Group policies and elevate all aspects of our operations. Through their collective efforts, the school’s management systems have matured, academic programs have progressed steadily, community cohesion has strengthened, and our development has returned to a positive trajectory. Due to personal family reasons and her responsibilities at Dipont Education Group’s headquarters, Ms. Xu, together with the Group, has decided to step down as Executive Principal at the end of this academic year and return to headquarters. We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Xu for her significant contributions and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
We are delighted to announce that Mr. Lan Tianxiao (Tim) will assume the role of Principal of Chengdu Dipont KCS School, effective August 2025. Tim has already arrived and is residing on campus, working closely with Ms. Xu and the Senior Leadership Team through the end of this semester to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the school’s positive momentum.
Tim brings over 26 years of international education experience, including 13 years in leadership roles, spanning the UK and Chinese education systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of diverse educational environments. Since 2009, he has held leadership positions in international schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Guangdong, including as Head of School at several Nord Anglia Education institutions. In 2022, he was recognized as one of Forbes’ Top Ten International School Principals in China. Prior to joining Chengdu Dipont KCS School, Tim served as Vice Principal at Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Sciences, a key member of the Dipont leadership team.
Tim’s educational philosophy centers on bilingual education, multicultural understanding, and hands-on learning. He is committed to fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes the needs of students and parents. With his extensive experience in bilingual schools, strong alignment with Dipont’s holistic education philosophy, and deep familiarity with the Dipont system, Tim is well-positioned to inspire our faculty, ignite teachers’ passion, and unlock every student’s potential, leading our school toward a more exceptional future.
This leadership transition is not merely a change in personnel but an opportunity for our entire community to reimagine our future.
