Boarding House Sports Circuit Challenge

On the evening of Thursday, May 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, the campus of Dipont KCS Chengdu transformed into a lively arena of teamwork, laughter, and house spirit. While day students headed home, our boarders geared up for a night of specially designed House Challenges—activities aimed at building not only skills, but also community.

From the sports field to the teaching block, six challenge stations kept students moving, thinking, and collaborating:

01.Water Tube Challenge

Out on the field, the first challenge was set: each House team formed a line, passing water through short tubes to fill their House’s bucket.

The rules sounded simple—but once the water started flowing, the real test began. No one could move once the water was in the tube! Every angle, every adjustment, and every handoff required focus, teamwork, and trust.

“Quick! Next one, get ready!”

“Hold still—the angle’s too steep!”

With a 10-minute countdown ticking, the energy soared. It was a brilliant display of strategy, cooperation, and House spirit.

02.Frisbee Golf

On the other side, the Frisbee Golf challenge brought just as much excitement. Each House had to move through 16 stations, landing five frisbees into the target before moving on. The tricky rule? One throw per person—and if you missed, you had to run and fetch it yourself!

It was a fast-paced balance of speed and accuracy, testing both individual focus and team rhythm. More than a game, it was a lesson in perseverance and cooperation through movement.

03.Basketball Shooting

The basketball station was one of the most popular events of the night. Each student had a single shot and could choose from various positions:

Layup (1 point)

Free throw (2 points)

Top-of-the-key three-pointer (3 points)

Corner three-pointer (4 points)

With only one chance, it quickly became a true test of skill and courage. In the end, Glenesk delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 132 points—the highest of the night!

04.Mystery Building

Given only paper and tape, students had 10 minutes to construct the tallest free-standing paper tower capable of supporting a metal badge. Glenesk again stood tall with the highest build.

05.Badminton Serving & Multi-Challenge Room:

In the Badminton Serving Challenge, students took turns aiming at targets—the farther the target, the higher the score. Every hit brought cheers and laughter.

In the Multi-Challenge Room, quick puzzles and physical games like memory chains and balance tests kept teams thinking fast and working together.

06.End

That evening, students discovered each other’s strengths—precision in frisbee, creativity in tower-building, and clutch shots on the basketball court. This is what boarding life at KCS is all about: growing together through shared challenges. More than just living together, it’s a full, day-to-night experience of connection, growth, and school spirit. And we’re already looking forward to the next boarding night.
