The significance of CCA
Co-curricular activities (CCAs) are crucial for holistic student development, extending beyond classroom learning to help students explore interests, uncover potential, and develop core values and skills. CCAs support academic achievement while also fostering skills that help students stand out in competitive environments. They encourage positive habits and work-life balance, providing a diverse growth environment. In a changing world, CCAs help students build strong friendships and a sense of belonging, commitment, and responsibility, preparing them for future challenges.
The framework of CCA
Dipont KCS Chengdu’s CCA program will evolve into five main areas, three levels, and three categories. The five areas are: Performing Arts, Language, Mathematics and Logic, Social Sciences and Science, and Sports, Health, and Community Service. The three levels are: T1 (beginner), T2 (intermediate), and T3 (advanced). The three categories are Teacher-Led, External Providers, and Student-Led activities. To assist students in choosing from over 100 courses, each CCA course is detailed on a dedicated poster, showcasing its content and features, helping students identify their interests and make informed choices.
Let’s take a look at those classes
In addition to these key courses, we offer over 100 options, including Touch Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee, various sports, wilderness survival, cheerleading, Chinese Tea Art, STEAM 3D Printing, and more. These diverse choices give KCS students broad interests and development opportunities.
