KCS School’s First Lesson of the Year: Rising to new changes

On September 2nd, Dipont KCS Chengdu welcomed the first day of the new academic year. At 8 a.m., Executive Principal Ms. Xu Li and Academic Director Dr. Pitre arrived early at the school gate to warmly greet students and teachers. The campus was soon bustling with excitement, filled with enthusiasm and anticipation for the new term.

The students were all energetic and ready, preparing to head to the opening ceremony. The teachers were diligently checking the students’ appearance and etiquette, patiently reminding them of details and correcting any inconsistencies. The students cooperated actively, carefully adjusting their attire. The school has always upheld high standards, and proper uniform dress not only adheres to school rules but also reflects the students’ confidence and pride in their school.

At the opening ceremony, hosts Ms. Wang and Mr. Paul played an inspiring video recap of the national Olympic swimming champion winning the gold medal. When the video showed the national flag rising on the Olympic stage, all the teachers and students participated in a special flag-raising ceremony. The athletes’ fighting spirit deeply moved everyone, filling the KCS students with a strong sense of national pride. In the new semester, students will look up to these Olympic champions as role models, striving diligently in their studies and daily lives to achieve their dreams and contribute to the bright future of their country.

In the first lesson of the new school year, Principal Xu shared the theme “Rising to New Changes.” She explained that this theme is closely related to goals, perseverance, growth, and hope. Reflecting on the Olympic champions who won their hard-earned gold medals, their courageous and relentless spirit serves as a valuable example for us this semester. This spirit aligns perfectly with the theme of “Rising to New Changes.” Whether in academic pursuits or personal growth, we are continuously surpassing ourselves and facing new challenges. Just as sunflowers follow the sun, we too chase our dreams. Here, we encourage every student to express their individuality and grow healthily. Just as flowers, leaves, and fruit are interdependent, teachers and students support each other. Finally, Principal Xu urged students to cherish every moment at KCS, approach each challenge and difficulty with a positive attitude, and look forward to a vibrant campus and a future full of possibilities.

Additionally, we warmly congratulate our school on receiving Cognia accreditation.
