At the ceremony, she expressed first her congratulations to the students for their academic achievements so far. She went on to explain the possible further challenges in the new stages and provided general guidance for the students. Meanwhile, she passed on her special thanks to parents and teachers. She believes that, only with the effort from both parents and the school can children enjoy the best environment for them to thrive and develop, and only with the support from teachers can the students acquired the consolidated knowledge base and the innovative spirit to explore.
“Students, the life in middle and high schools is full of new challenges and uncertainties. No matter it is an increase in academic pressure, more complicated interpersonal environment, or the difficulties in managing your own health, you will have to deal with them independently. Listen to your heart. Try everything. Be determined and keep the habit of learning and thinking. Today, you start from here and soar like eagles into the sky. I believe, the abilities KCS cultivated in you, such as critical thinking, cooperation, problem solving, will make you responsible global citizens and enable you to make meaningful and positive contribution and changes in the world.”
Mr. Adam Guo: Welcome Speech for G9 Graduates on behalf of the High School
As the Deputy Head of Senior School, Mr. Adam Guo first welcomed the students graduating into our senior school. He stressed the importance of making plans: the 3 years in high school is a phase of overall development. Students need to make academic progress while also paying attention to their physical and mental health, as well as their cultivation of habits. Students should be participating in various activities which will have a long-term positive effect on their future development. Besides, high school learning is very different from their previous learning. It will be a multi-task and multi-linear way of learning, where the students need to balance their study, research, and various activities. Also, the students are expected to look ahead and prepare themselves. He also encourages the students to communicate more with the school university counselling team to have more customized support.
Mr. Jason Palmer: Farewell Speech to G12 Graduates
The Co-Acedemic Principal, Mr. Jason Palmer, presented the graduates with a poem by Mother Teresa called Anyway, which he himself has referred to and re-read many times in his adult life, and which he hopes will inspire and help the graduates in the rest of their lives. In addition, he also expressed his reluctance to part and sincere wishes for the graduates in his speech.
“Of course, we are all proud of you for your accomplishments already and getting to this point in your lives. You are all about to embark on the next phase of your lives, and we have no doubt that you will shine and be successful.
However, there is regret. I really did not get the chance to get to know you very well. That is my loss, as I have missed this opportunity to learn more about you as young adults the way your teachers and some of the staff here have been able to do.”
The Outstanding Graduates, Harry Yi, Abbie Yan and Lisa Chen also gave wonderful speeches. They sincerely thanked the school for its cultivation, their families for their support and their classmates for their help and expressed their expectations for their future study and life.

The graduates performed a dance Asters Picking Under the Eastern Fence, a piano solo, a double-row key performance and the Year 6 chorus Yesterday’s Dream, conveying their gratitude to the school, teachers, students, and parents.
The teachers also shared their blessings for the graduates. Not only did they personally record the video, expressing their love and best wishes for each student, but also, they recorded every bit of the graduating class on camera. The children broke out in laughter from time to time as they watched the video, and the years they had spent together were so beautiful to look back on.
With the concerted efforts from students, teachers and parents, the internationalized education model of Dipont KCS Chengdu has gained wider recognition, support, and achievements: the all-round development of the primary and middle school graduates, and the excellent university application results of the G12 graduates are the best proof. As Ms. Xu said in her speech, home-school cooperation can provide the best environment for the growth and development of children, and we would like to thank all parents for their trust and understanding of the school.
