This past weekend was a special one for Dipont KCS Chengdu. Two student teams representing our school stood out at the regional Asian Business Simulation, winning multiple major awards. Business Excellence Award for Best Pitching Team. Best Deal Team in the auction round. Best Poster Award. And most impressively, the Best Operations Award – placing first among all 16 teams!
Behind these shining moments on stage lies weeks of hard work—countless late nights perfecting their presentations, repeated brainstorming and revisions, and the trust and synergy built through team collaboration. It’s this growth through challenge that makes the experience so meaningful.
• Pitching: presenting sustainable business ideas to “investors”
• Debate: defending their business model under pressure from judges
• Auction: negotiating deals on raw materials and propertyThe company with the highest final assets takes the win.
• Company 9 targeted Reduced Inequality, crafting an inclusive product and business model to empower underserved communities. The night before the competition, both teams held a joint online meeting, working late into the night fine-tuning their slides and pitch—everyone gave it their all.
Both teams shone not only in strategy but also in communication and creativity.
Company 8 took home the Best Pitch and Best Poster awards with their compelling ideas and stunning visuals.
During the fiery Q&A, judges didn’t hold back—but our students impressed with their calm, articulate responses and clear logic, displaying exceptional business acumen and confidence.
Each student, each role, each decision was part of a journey from classroom to boardroom, from theory to real-world application. This Asdan experience is just the beginning of their journey in business and leadership. Wherever they go next, the lessons learned and bonds built will be part of the spark that drives them forward.
Congratulations once again to our champions! We can’t wait to see you shine on even bigger stages.
