At Dipont KCS Chengdu, sports serve as a key platform for student growth and teamwork. Since its establishment, KCS has made significant strides in its sports programs, and with the new academic year, the teams are ready to embrace fresh challenges and opportunities.

Now entering its second year, the KCS volleyball program, fueled by passion and hard work, faces new challenges and opportunities. Many players, initially new to the sport in the U15 and U19 teams, have made remarkable strides this season. Their dedication has led to noticeable improvements in overall performance, showcasing the rapid development of KCS volleyball.

Students are committed beyond regular practice, utilizing lunch breaks and evenings to hone their skills. The volleyball court is rarely empty, reflecting their dedication. This extra effort is crucial for the team’s growth, enhancing both individual skills and team cohesion.

Recent Match Results

On October 10 and 16, KCS (Dipont King’s College School Chengdu) faced BASIS and HPA in volleyball matches. The girls won decisively 3-0 against BASIS, while the boys secured a close 3-2 victory. They continued their strong performance against HPA, with the girls winning 3-0 and the boys triumphing 3-1.

Coach Jessie recalled a standout moment from the BASIS match: “It was unforgettable when our girls beat BASIS for the first time. We celebrated every point, and I felt so proud of them.”

CSSA U9 and U11 Football

On October 19, Dipont KCS Chengdu participated in the CSSA U9 and U11 football competitions hosted by BASIS Chengdu. Despite the morning rain, the atmosphere was lively, filled with the young athletes’ enthusiasm.
A key moment was the U9 team’s first goal from a corner kick, demonstrating great teamwork. Coach Andy recalled, “Jack took the corner, and Albert scored with a volley! The parents were ecstatic!” This moment inspired both players and supporters, showcasing the team’s growth.

Vitor Machado, KCS’s PE teacher and head football coach, highlighted that the rain didn’t dampen the children’s spirit; instead, it strengthened their bond and improved their social skills and friendships.
